Welcome home

This post is a tad late perhaps as I’ve been back in Australia for a month already, but in any case, welcome home! And how was Sweden? Amazing, as always. Summer, sunshine, family and friends. Very simple.

The legend himself – Mark Knopfler – is releasing his eighth studio album tomorrow. I got on the pre-sale bandwagon a bit late, but in a weeks time I expect this double-baby to land in my mailbox. If you’ve read my bio you’ll know that Mark is my #1 absolute all-time musical hero, so you can imagine my excitement for this release.

Other new music I enjoy include Missy Higgins, Kent, Lana Del Rey, Pete Murray, Shins, Gavin DeGraw, Regina Spektor and Veronica Maggio.

I’m also on the lookout for a Mac upgrade. I’ve been an avid iMac user for the past 5 years but I’m thinking of going portable this time. Retina display or not, that is the question. I can definitely see the eye-candy factor, but is it worth the money at the moment? Maybe I should invest those extra $$$ in new effect boxes instead :-)

Stockholm next!

After a good one and a half years down under it’s now time to head back to Stockholm for a long-awaited holiday. That means ice cream, summer, friends & family, and lots of other stupid things that make life better!

It’ll also be a great opportunity to make some more beautiful music with my good friend Billy, who you might’ve noticed is responsible for some of the best parts of my debut album.

So with this post I would like to wish everyone in the northern hemisphere a great summer, and I hope to see you all back here sometime in August for more madness.

In the meantime, i’ll leave you with this beautiful Stockholm sunset :-)

Email fail and comments win

It has come to my attention that the emails sent from this site were never delivered to my inbox. So if you tried contacting me and I never replied – this is the reason. I’ve fixed it now though so shouldn’t be anymore problems. And here I was thinking no one was interested in my opinions!

Also, comments are now available again. Just login with your Facebook account, or something similar, and we can start disqusing!

A quick musical recap…

Since I can’t import the posts from my old site I thought I’ll give you a quick recap of what’s happened over the last 1½ years…

In December 2009 I did my part for the fight for Saab and released “Griffin Up!”, a song that rose to fame over night among enthusiasts all over the world who were fighting for their favourite carbrand. The video, which was my first one ever, scored well over 100,000 hits within one week and I accomplished what I’d set out to do: give Saab positive attention. As an added bonus, I signed my first record deal with RMI Sweden.

Greetings from Australia!

I’ve moved to the other side of the world again, and the weather here is just perfect for sitting inside and setting up a new website :)

Jokes aside, this will from now on be my new home on the internets. I had a brand-new version of this site all ready to go, but after considering the benefits of WordPress I decided to scrap the whole idea and just dive right into the world of blogging.

As some of you might know I just can’t stick to one subject. This site was originally meant to be strictly for the advancement of my musical aspirations, but that left too many topics untouched that I’d really like to have a say about. The music side of things will just have to learn to coexist with everything else that might interest me.

So don’t be surprised if you stumble upon a philosophical rant here and there, a social commentary or two, or even some snippets about my favourite carbrand Saab. After all: this is from now on a blog, and blogs need content!

So what’s the latest news? I’m currently working on my very first full-length album, which is gonna be a killer. There’s some very exciting stuff on there, lots of different genres, themes and sounds. It’s still in the process of being mastered, but once that’s done it’s showtime! Meanwhile, work on my second album is already underway with the first song almost done. Obviously it’s a little early to tell you anything about it, mostly because I know very little about it myself, but it’ll get there when it gets there. And when it does… !

Currently everything is a bit empty. But don’t you worry, it’ll all fall into place over time. I have some great plans for the future, and I hope you’ll stick around to find out more!
